82-year-old woman hit, killed while crossing Hernando road

An 82-year-old woman was hit and killed early Thursday morning while walking across a road in Hernando County.

The accident happened around 6:13 a.m. on Barclay Avenue and Spring Hill Drive.

Troopers said a vehicle, driven by Lakesha Graham, 40, was traveling southbound on Barclay Avenue when a pedestrian crossed westbound on Barclay Avenue and collided with the left side of the vehicle.

The pedestrian, Iris Fearn, 82, was transported to Bayonet Point Medical Center where she died from her injuries.

Troopers said no charges are expected.
