The Tampa Bay Rays will open the 2017 season on Sunday in front of a sold out Tropicana Field audience.

The Rays made the announcement Thursday, marking the 12th consecutive season the Rays have sold out the home opener. It is the longest home opener sellout streak among Tampa Bay’s major sports franchises, according to the team.

Capacity at Tropicana Field is 42,735.

First pitch Sunday against the New York Yankees is at 1:10 p.m. The game is being aired nationally on ESPN and locally on FOX Sun Sports.

Tickets are available for the remaining two games in the season-opening series against the Yankees on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. and for the first weekend series of the season, April 6-9, versus the Toronto Blue Jays.

Chris Archer will be on the mound for the Rays while Masahiro Tanaka will be the Opening Day starter for the Yankees.
