Here's your Tampa area forecast for late Tuesday evening into Wednesday and the rest of the work week.

  • Front falling apart
  • Lighter winds
  • Late weekend front

The weather has been nice the past couple days with just a slight warming trend. Winds are finally lighter than they were the past four days.

Skies will be partly cloudy overnight into early Wednesday morning. There will be some areas of patchy fog around sunrise, with most of it burning off quickly.

Morning lows will be in the low 60s south of I-4 and upper 50s in northern counties.

Wednesday will feature more clouds around, but overall still a nice day. Expect variably cloudy skies with highs in the upper 70s near the coast and low 80s inland.

There will be a small chance of a stray shower in the afternoon due to a front getting closer to our area. The chance will be very small, however, as that front will be falling apart as it enters our region.

Skies will be variably cloudy Wednesday night with lows in the 60s.

Thursday will be partly cloudy, with the front dissipating entirely, so do not expect any push of drier, cooler air. Highs will be in the low 80s. There will be just enough moisture to possibly trigger an isolated shower, but nothing of great coverage.

Thursday night will be partly cloudy to mostly clear with lows in the 60s.
