A 10 acre brush fire sparked Friday afternoon, threatening homes in Plant City.

The Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was called out to the quick moving brush fire around noon in the 2700 block of Jim Johnson Road in Plant City. 

Fire crews said the brush fire was quickly moving through a pasture behind several homes. 

The Florida Forest Service and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office assisted in fighting the fire. 

Fire crews were able to get the fire under control in 30 minutes. Crews are still on scene working to mop up hot spots. 

Officials said no injuries were reported and no homes were damaged.
