A Citrus County Sheriff’s Office K9 deputy will be living the life of luxury now after retiring.

K9 Jerry Lee started his career with the sheriff’s office in 2008 and retired with numerous awards, drug arrests and apprehensions.

K9 Jerry Lee was also named Florida’s Top Dog during his career and made 155 catches and 300 drug arrests.

“You've done well and now you can relax,” the sheriff’s office wrote.

Now, of course, every retirement isn’t complete without a celebration ceremony to honor K9 Jerry Lee’s many accomplishments.

The sheriff’s office held a ceremony for Jerry Lee Tuesday, which included toys and treats for the retiree.

The sheriff’s office posted a video on their Facebook of K9 Jerry Lee enjoying his retirement cupcake.

Jerry Lee will live out the rest of his days with his handler Deputy John Behnen and his family.

“We'll miss you, Jerry Lee!” the sheriff’s office wrote.
