Update-- A Riverview teen who was reported missing on Saturday has been found safe, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
A homeowner on Fairlawn Drive spotted Alex Baumgarten, 13, walking through yards on Sunday, deputies said. The homeowner recognized him from the news and contacted the authorities.
The Sheriff's Office said that investigators will interview Baumgarten to determine the circumstances of his disappearance.
Original Story-- The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is searching for a 13-year-old who is believed to be missing and endangered.
Deputies said Alex Baumgarten, 13, was last seen around 4 p.m. Saturday, May 13, walking away from his home with his dachshund mix after arguing with his parents.
They said Alex is diagnosed with depression and is on medication.
Alex is 5'3 and 140 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, navy blue basketball shorts, and black sneakers.
The sheriff's office is asking the public to be on the lookout. Anyone with information is asked to call HCSO at 813-247-8200.
