  • WARNING: Some may consider the video graphic, but the child is safe
  • Hit-and-run happened Monday afternoon
  • Teen shaken but otherwise OK
  • Vehicle described as gold Ford Expedition

Home surveillance video from Monday shows an out-of-control SUV on Moog Road.

The SUV went into the front yard of a residence, back out onto the street and hit a 14-year-old boy riding his bicycle. He was identified as Johnny Walsh Jr.

Walsh could be seen trying to get out of the way, but he was not able to in time. He was able to get up and walk away but the driver was long gone.

"My son could have been dead today, if it wasn’t in the Grace of God, or if he didn’t push himself off the truck," said the boy's father, Johnny Walsh Sr.

Walsh Jr. said he doesn't know if he wants to ride bikes again. He said if he does, it won't be on Moog Road.

"I don't know how people could just hit someone, or hit animals or something and then just leave. I can't even watch that happen," he said.

The vehicle was described as a gold Ford Expedition with license plate number GYC-T99, the FHP said. The driver was described as a white man who appeared to be in his 20s.
