A jury deliberated for more than twelve hours before reaching a verdict Saturday in the Bradenton triple-murder case.

Andres Avalos, 36, is found guilty of second-degree murder for the death of Amber Avalos, and first-degree murder for the deaths of Denise Potter and Pastor Tripp Battle.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, Avalos fatally shot his wife and their neighbor at the couple’s home in Bradenton, then went to Bayshore Baptist Church where he shot and killed the pastor on Dec. 4, 2014.

Avalos was arrested two days later at an area mobile home park. Prosecutors said Avalos confessed to investigators after he was arrested.
