Due to expected severe weather tonight, some events in the Bay Area are being canceled. 

So far, the only event canceled for tonight is the Ready Night event in Polk County. 

Polk County Emergency Management's annual Emergency Preparedness Night was scheduled to be held before the Flying Tigers baseball game. 

Event organizers have not yet released a rescheduled time for the event. 

They did say though that the Flying Tigers game has not be canceled and will start at 6:30 p.m.

TRAFFIC CLOSURES

- Hernando County Sheriff's deputies have closed Osowaw Boulevard between Shoal Line Boulevard and the Pasco County Line as parts of the roadway are currently under water.

- Due to high winds, the Sunshine Skyway Bridge was closed at about 1:30 p.m.. Please use an alternate route.

- Citrus County Orange Line transit routes have been suspended today due to the potential severe weather. Normal service will resume Thursday, May 25. For more info, call the transit office at 352-527-7630.
