Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Thursday into Friday, with a preview of the weekend.

  • Lower humidity
  • Cool nights
  • Seasonably warm afternoons

This weather is a fantastic treat for this time of year, as our humidity has dropped much lower due to the surge of dry air behind the front.

Skies will be mostly clear overnight into early Friday morning, with cooler lows in the 50s north and 60s from the Bay south.

Friday will be a gorgeous day by our standards for this time of year. It's rare to get this type of front this late in the season, so soak in the less humid conditions because we all know it will go away fast.

Skies will be mostly sunny for Friday, and highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. Although the humidity will be low, temperatures will still be warm -- after all, we do live in southern Florida, and sun angle is very high in the sky this time of year.

Friday night will be mostly clear and pleasant again with lows in the 50s and 60s.

Saturday will be a great start to the weekend, with continued low humidity. But it will start heating back up with highs around 90.

Saturday night will be mostly clear, with lows in the 60s to near 70. Sunday will feature mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 90s.
