  • Jason Michael Trigger, 35, arrested for being felon in possession of gun

No, it's not a joke.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Jason Michael Trigger, 35, was in the Dollar General at 11928 US Highway 19 in Hudson Sunday afternoon when a .25 caliber handgun fell from his waistband.

The gun hit the floor and fired a shot into Trigger's right ankle.

An injured Trigger traveled to Bayonet Point Hospital for treatment. It didn't take long for deputies to catch up with him there.

Trigger, who has multiple felony convictions on Pasco County arrests dating back to 2009, was arrested and charged for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
