Publix is recalling its Tropical Medley Mix because it may be contaminated with listeria.

The 5.7-ounce clear plastic containers of the mix were sold from Publix retail produce departments in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina with a UPC of 41415088586.

All "use by" dates are being recalled.

Publix was notified of the potential contamination from their dried apricot supplier.

Consumption of products containing Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious, sometimes fatal, infection in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy people can suffer from high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.

To date, there have been no reported cases of illness. Consumers who have purchased the product may return it to a store for a full refund.
