A Lakeland woman and her bakery goods have developed a dedicated fan base. Some people stand in line for hours on Saturday mornings just to take home some of her breads and pasteries.

Jennifer Smurr has been selling her "Born and Bread Bakehouse" breads and pastries for several years at Lakeland's downtown farmers' market.
She said her loyal customers have become like a family.
“Diane, John, Joe, Leanne, Rhonda," said Smurr. "I am going to miss some names. I don’t want to miss anyone. I think they are kind of the staple.”
One of those "staples" is John Denton. Denton told us he has been either the first or second person in line for months to make sure he gets the selection he wants.
“Because I figure it’s stressful being in the back of the line and wonder if they are going to sell out of what you want by the time you get up front,” said Denton.
Denton refused to tell us just how early he gets to the market to be sure he has that prime spot in line, to make sure no one beat him to the punch.
"It's a closely guarded secret," said Denton.
Stephanie Beckett, meanwhile, left her home in St. Petersburg at 4:30 a.m. to get in line early.
‘It’s a little anxious feeling," said Beckett. "When they start putting them out, you get a little anxious.”
