A male driver was killed Saturday night when a Chevy truck slammed into the side of his Ford truck in Sarasota.

The crash occurred around 11 p.m. at Fruitville Road and Midwest Parkway in Sarasota.
Police said a white Ford pickup truck was pulling onto the eastbound lanes of Fruitville Road from Midwest when a Chevy Silverado truck hit the Ford's driver side.
The driver of the Ford pickup died at the scene, police said.
The driver of the Chevy was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
No one was else was injured in the crash.
Police say it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
