Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Monday into Tuesday morning, with a quick look at conditions midweek.

  • Lots of storms
  • Fewer on Wednesday
  • Moisture surge Thursday

We had huge storms roar across the area and then some lingering rains on the backside, but skies will go partly cloudy into the morning with quieter conditions.

We are already at our lows for the night, with rain cooled temperatures in the low to mid 70s, but upper 70s near the coast.

Tuesday will feature partly sunny skies with numerous scattered storms again. Some of them will start in the Gulf in the morning, but then generally they’ll build over land through the afternoon and work back toward the coast in the evening.

Highs will be in the low 90s.

Tuesday night the storms will wind down with partly cloudy skies and lows in the 70s.

Wednesday will feature drier air, so our storm coverage will drop to 30 percent during the day. Expect highs to easily be in the low to mid 90s.

Then a surge of moisture will come back in that night and carry into Thursday, bringing numerous showers and storms back into the area.
