There were no injuries in the 2-alarm fire at 3066 Winter Lake Road.

However, damage is extensive at the building, which housed Precision Wallboard, Inc., a drywall contractor.

According to Polk County Fire Rescue, firefighters responded at 12:30 a.m. to the building. The fire started in a corner unit of the building and quickly spread. Authorities said the metal building burned especially hot and very fast.

There was heavy smoke and flames shooting through the roof when firefighters arrived.

In fact, the flames became so high, firefighters had to temporarily be pulled out of the building as flames and fireballs neared power lines above the structure.

Crews were able to bring the fire under control after a few hours.

The State Fire Marshal's office has sent an investigator to the scene.

Officials have not given any indication as to what may have started the fire.
