City police said Monday an arrest has been made in the fatal weekend shooting of a business employee.

  • Christopher Antonio Sheffield, 24, charged in slaying

Christopher Antonio Sheffield, 24, was taken into custody at about 4 a.m., according to the Tampa Police Department.

The shooting occurred Sunday afternoon at 29th Street Store on North 29th Street.

Officers at the scene found an employee who had been shot and killed. The victim was identified as Mohamoud Ibraham, 60.

Police said Sheffield was identified with the help of witnesses and store surveillance video.

He was charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a firearm and carrying a concealed firearm.

Friends of Ibraham took hard the news of his slaying.

"You know, he always made sure I was on the right path and things like that," said friend Josh Givens.
