St. Petersburg city councilman Karl Nurse has endorsed Myor Rick Kriseman on his re-election bid.

Nurse, who represents District 6, the fifth council member to throw his support behind the current mayor. Others include council chair Darden Rice, Any Foster, Lisa Wheeler-Bowman and Charlie Gerdes.
Jim Kennedy and Ed Montanari have endorsed former Mayor Rick Baker.
Councilman Steve Kornell has not endorsed anyone.
The ballot for the August 29th primary election features Kriseman and Baker, as well as Ernisa Barnwell, Anthony Cates III, Paul Congemi, Theresa Lassiter and Jesse Nevel.
The general election will be held November 7.
Bay News 9, the Tampa Bay Times, and St. Petersburg College will present a live debate between candidates for St. Petersburg mayor on July 25 at 7 p.m.
Incumbent Rick Kriseman and former mayor Rick Baker will debate, and Bay News 9's Holly Gregory and Tampa Bay Times Adam Smith will moderate.
