A Zephyrhills concession stand has been broken into numerous times in recent years, and this weekend, businesses are coming together to make sure it doesn't happen again.

The Zephyrhills Athletic League says in past break-ins to its main concession stand, burglars have taken soda and candy, and have damaged numerous pieces of equipment.

"You have someone come in and open your refrigerators and they just leave them open, it tends to tear it up you have to replace that," league director Damien Pickett said.

"Cash register that had nothing it, we had to replace that," Pickett said.

The Flying Locksmiths of Tampa Bay is part of the largest locksmith company in the United States.

It partnered with The Home Depot, Southern Lock and Supply and Door Hardware and Openings to harden the concessions stand's security.

A crew from The Flying Locksmiths worked for free Saturday, to install brand new doors, locks, and an alarm system.

Dave Lenhart with The Flying Locksmiths said, "this is a double reinforced steel door with a grade one lever lock." He said the new doors are impenetrable.

The new security features come just in time for a new football season that gets underway later this summer at Zephyrhills Athletic League.
