Hernando's Landing is a project of Lakeland Rotary clubs, which contributed $300,000 toward the construction of the park.
Hernando's Landing is in Lake Parker Park off Lakeland Hills Boulevard. It features a zip line for kids, an explorer's pirate ship, swings, a slide and a tall tower.
There are even some huge musical pieces including chimes and drums.

The official ribbon cutting is Friday.
