A 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed Thursday night in a crash near Sun City Center.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Alfonso Q. Rodriguez was riding his 2016 Harley Davidson when he collided with an SUV as the driver attempted a left turn from US 301 onto Valencia Grande Avenue.

A 71-year-old woman was driving her 2014 Acura MDX SUV southbound on US 301 just before 10:30 p.m. when she attempted the left turn, Troopers said. Northbound Rodriguez collided with the SUV. 

Rodriguez, from Wimauma, died at the scene. 

The SUV driver was not injured. 

The crash remains under investigation.
