Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Tuesday into Wednesday morning, with a look at conditions the rest of the week.

  • Moisture returning
  • Cloudy Wednesday
  • Drier end of the week

The drier air across the region was short-lived, as we’ve already had some scattered showers come back into the area.  There will be some showers overnight with partly cloudy skies, as well.

Lows will be in the mid to upper 70s.

Abundant moisture will stream back into the area for Wednesday, resulting in a return to cloudy skies and numerous showers and storms.  They will start in the gulf and drift inland through the day, with a couple waves of rain likely.

As a result, the rain coverage will be back up to at least 60 percent.  Highs will be a couple degrees lower due to the extra cloud cover, staying in the upper 80s.

The showers and storms will die down for Wednesday evening, with lows in the upper 70s to near 80.

Thursday will feature a 50 percent coverage of scattered storms, with the highest coverage across the northern half of the area.

Drier air will come back in on Friday with lower rain chances at that time.
