Weather forecast: Storms to shift inland

This evening will be partly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly in the in inland areas. Late tonight and toward morning, showers and some storms will return in the Gulf and the coastal areas.

  • Storms shift inland during day

Lows will be in the mid 70s inland to upper 70s to 80 degrees near the coast.

Sunday will be partly sunny with a 40% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. The continuing onshore flow will get showers and storms started along the coast early. Southwest winds will shift the storms inland.

Highs will be around 90 near the coast to low to mid 90s inland.

Early next week we will continue with about a 40 percent to 50 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms each day next week. Winds will be very light with high pressure across the area.

Winds for the Nature Coast will be more onshore, so showers and storms are more likely here and are more likely to start earlier here, Monday through Wednesday.

Highs will be in the low 90s, but may be a bit lower for the Nature Coast.
