Tampa police on Saturday released the names of the three people killed in a Thursday crash that was DUI related.

Meanwhile, the woman accused of causing the triple fatal crash on the Selmon Expressway made her first court appearance Saturday morning.

Amber Perera, 29, was given no bond in court Saturday morning for the fatal crash.

Tampa police said Perera was impaired when she lost control of her vehicle that set off a chain reaction of crashes.

The victims have been identified as: Luiz Felipak, 41, Rita Felipak, 29, and Giorgia Felipak, 8.

According to witnesses, Perera was traveling at "a high rate of speed' on the Selmon Expressway when she struck the rear of a Hyundai occupied by the two adults and child.

The Hyundai spun and entered the westbound lanes and was hit by two other vehicles before bursting in flames.

All three occupants of the Hyundai died at the scene.

Police said Perera attempted to leave the scene but was apprehended minutes later.

According to the arrest report, Perera admitted to taking powerful prescription medications that treat anxiety - Ativan and Lexapro.

She was taken to Tampa General Hospital for a blood draw. And there, police say she tried hiding vials of blood that were taken as evidence.

Perera was charged with three counts of DUI manslaughter, DUI with serious bodily injury and hit-and-run failure to remain at the scene, and tampering with evidence.

Her pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 16 at 10 a.m.
