It has been a hot and muggy day with a few passing showers and thunderstorms.

This evening and overnight skies will be partly cloudy with a chance of a passing isolated shower or storm.

The overnight lows will be in the upper 70's and near 80 along the coast with inland spots in the middle 70's.

For Sunday, waking up to mostly sunny skies with a 60 percent chance of afternoon and evening scattered showers and storms. Some spots will see locally heavy rainfall.

Highs will be in the low 90's with East winds at 5-10 mph.

For Monday, the day of the Solar Eclipse, there will be a 40 percent chance of afternoon and evening scattered  showers and storms. The eclipse begins at 1:17 PM for the Tampa Bay area. Visibility is still uncertain at this time depending upon the amount of cloud cover.

Highs will be in the low 90's.

For Tuesday, drier air makes its way across central Florida, bringing rain chances down to 30 percent with a chance of an isolated shower or storm.

Highs will be in the low to mid 90's and it will feel extremely hot with index values in the low 100's.

For Wednesday, a 40 percent chance of scattered showers and storms mainly in northern and southern areas. High's will be in the low 90's.

A front approaches the Florida Panhandle on Thursday and moves its way into the area to end the work week and into the weekend. Rain chances for the three days are 50 percent to 60 percent. Low's will be in the mid to upper 70's each day. High's will be in the low 90's.
