Two teenagers were arrested Friday night after police said they were in possession of a weapon on school property.

Police said the two Boca Ciega High School students--ages 17--were at a high school football game Friday night being played at Pinellas Park High School. 

A spectator noticed the boys showing off a gun inside a backpack and informed police. 

A school resource officer at the game made contact with the two boys and searched the backpack, revealing a .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun that was loaded with two rounds. 

Both students admitted to being in possession of the gun and to having had the gun earlier in the day while at their school, Boca Ciega High School. 

The gun was not reported stolen and police are unsure at this time how or where the gun was obtained from.
