Lets get a look at the forecast for overnight and into Thursday:

  • Fewer storms
  • Some late into the night
  • Westward movement

Overnight lows will be in the upper 70's and low 80's along the coast with mostly cloudy skies.

Scattered storms have all had a westward drift toward the Gulf. They will die down or drift into the Gulf with calm conditions for Thursday morning.

Lows will be in the mid 70s inland and low 80s at the coast.

Thursday will feature slightly lower atmospheric moisture, so we expect our coverage of storms to go down to 30 percent.

After just a few storms during the afternoon, the better chance of storms will actually come at night with the storms drifting toward the Gulf.

Heat and humidity will be really high again, in the mid 90s for highs with a heat index above 100 due to the typical high humidity.

The rain chance returns to normal for Friday into the weekend with the coverage of storms running between 40 and 50 percent.
