Here's your Tampa area forecast for late Monday into Tuesday morning, now that Hurricane Irma is gone.

  • Irma finally gone
  • Drier for a couple days
  • Thunderstorms return later in the week

Now that Irma is gone we’ll have much nicer conditions the next couple days.

Skies will be partly cloudy with a few isolated showers into Tuesday morning. The winds will still come in from the west, but they will keep decreasing. The morning lows will be a few degrees cooler as drier air did wrap around on the backside of Irma.

The lows will range from upper 60s in Citrus county to near 70 in Polk county to mid 70s at the coast.

Tuesday will feature a west breeze off the gulf with a few isolated passing showers that will move east to the other side of the state. Otherwise expect partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 80s.

Tuesday night will be partly cloudy to mostly clear with lows in the low to mid 70s.

Wednesday will be similar with partly cloudy to sunny skies and only a few isolated passing showers that will move eastward. Highs will be in the upper 80s.

Rain chances will be on the increase for late week.
