Funeral services were held Saturday for a Florida deputy killed in the line of duty as Hurricane Irma was moving into Florida.

Deputy sheriff Julie Ann Bridges, 42, served 13 years with the Hardee County Sheriff's Office and had plenty of ties to the Bradenton area.
Authorities said Bridges was involved in a fatal traffic crash.
"Her death is a tremendous loss to our agency and to the Hardee County community," the Sheriff's Office posted on Twitter.

The funeral was held at Bayside Community Church in Manatee County.
