Jose will remain the primary weather feature in our forecast, even though it will remain well east and northeast of Florida.

Sprawling high pressure extends from the Great Lakes southward into the northern Gulf of Mexico, allowing Jose to lift northward along its eastern edge. Behind Jose, north winds will build in on Sunday bringing dry air south into Florida. Rain chances will drop and humidity will lower.

A few showers or storms will end Saturday evening. Overnight will be partly cloudy.
Lows will be in the mid 70s for Tampa Bay to near 70 north.

Sunday will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with only a 10 percent chance of an afternoon shower or storm.

The dew points will drop a little by later in the day. Winds will be out of the north. It will be breezy along the coast.

Sunday night will be a little cooler with lows in the upper 60s for the Nature Coast to low 70s for Tampa Bay.

Monday, north winds continue keeping the drier air in place. Skies will be partly cloudy, there will be a 10 percent chance for some afternoon showers, mainly inland. Highs will be around 90.

Tuesday will be partly cloudy, with lows still in the low 70s for Tampa Bay to upper 60s north. The afternoon will bring a few clouds and a 10 percent chance of a shower, mainly inland.

Starting Wednesday, winds will become easterly.

As Jose lifts northeastward, high pressure will build back to the north, bringing in easterly flow.

There will be a slight increase in the moisture, so rain chances will be around 20 percent each afternoon until the end of the workweek. Lows will be in the lower 70s around Tampa Bay to upper 60s north.

Highs will be in the upper 80s to around 90.
