A road construction worker was seriously injured Thursday morning in Clearwater while on the job.
Clearwater Police and Fire Rescue responded to the accident on Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. near Old Coachman Road around 1 a.m.
Officials said a worker riding on the back of a road construction vehicle fell and hit his head on the pavement, sustaining potentially life-threatening injuries.
The worker, identified as Leonard Singh, 63, was first taken to Morton Plant Hospital and then was flown to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
