The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued an Amber Alert for the children Wednesday, advising the children were last seen in Manatee County last Friday.

That Amber Alert has been canceled.

The children, Jowella Gadeaun, 12, Joseph Gadeaun, 10, Jacqueline Gadeaun, 8, and Jocelyn Gadeaun, 6, were found with their mother Jaima Gadeaun, 40, at a hotel in Eufaula, Alabama.

Just after midnight, two guests at the Hampton Inn in Eufaula had seen the Amber Alert and thought they recognized the children playing in the lobby area and the guests notified the Eufaula Police Department.

Officers located the vehicle identified in the Alert and confirmed that the Alert and warrant were still active. Authorities said Jamia Gadeaun was taken into custody without incident.

The children were checked by Eufaula Fire Department personnel before being turned over to the Barbour County Department of Human Resources. All of the children appeared to be in good health. Gadeaun was taken to the Eufaula City Jail where she awaits an extradition hearing.

The case remains under investigation.

The children were first reported missing on Friday after Jaima Gadeaun took them during a supervised visit at the children's grandmother's home. Investigators said the grandmother has temporary custody of the children and Jaima Gadeaun has supervised visits with the kids.

Authorities later said they had new information suggesting the children could have been in some type of danger, hence the Amber Alert.
