The scattered storms we've seen today tended to propagate inland after starting in coastal regions. Overnight into early Tuesday morning will be partly cloudy to mostly clear with an isolated chance of a lingering thunderstorm.

  • Storms drift inland
  • Increasing moisture
  • All eyes on Irma

Morning lows will be in the mid to upper 70s, but low 70s in northern counties. Tuesday will be a typical September type of day with partly sunny skies and some afternoon scattered showers.

There will be a few scattered storms that get their start in the Gulf in the morning, followed by afternoon storms beginning over land along the sea breeze as it drifts in from the Gulf.

There will be about a 30% coverage of scattered storms. Highs will be in the low 90s.

Tuesday night the storms will die down with partly cloudy skies and lows in the mid 70s.

Wednesday will feature a little bit more moisture in the atmosphere so the coverage of storms will go up to about 40%, but otherwise, not a huge difference with highs still in the low 90s.

From mid to late week the rain chance will go up as there will tend to be more moisture in the atmosphere due to a cold front stalling to our north. So expect a 50-60% coverage of scattered storms each day from Thursday into the upcoming weekend.

The highs during that time will be near 90.
