Florida Gun Supply volunteers have returned from their trip to Texas to help Hurricane Harvey victims.

  • Trip organizer called it life-changing experience
  • Within minutes, their trailer in Texas was empty

They had a few car break downs along the way but finally made it to Texas on Sunday. They paired up with a local gun shop in Alvin, Texas to hand out donated supplies.

Within seven minutes, their entire trailer was empty. Andy Hallinan, who organized the trip, said it was a life-changing experience.

"Left and right, everybody was overjoyed with what we did," he said. "You know the families that came, there were probably over 500 families we're talking, you know, mothers, fathers, children that came, and each one of them had a story about how they were personally affected by the storm."

They do have some extra donated supplies.

Hallinan said they will either take another load to Texas or give them to people affected by Irma.
