Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Wednesday into Thursday morning, with a look at conditions going into the weekend.

The front is stalling just to our north as expected so we had more clouds and showers in the area today. There will still be some scattered showers overnight into the morning with partly cloudy skies otherwise.

Morning lows will be in the low to mid 70s.

Irma will not have any impact to our weather over the next couple of days, but beyond that is still in question.

Thursday will feature variable skies with the front stalled just to our north. There will be some scattered showers, followed by scattered storms in the afternoon. Highs will be near 90.

Thursday night will feature partly cloudy skies, with lows in the low to mid 70s.

Friday will be the first day where our winds shift and are noticeably from the east-northeast. That will result in mainly afternoon to evening scattered storms that will build and move toward our side of the state and then shift west into the gulf that evening. Highs will be near 90 that day before the storms arrive.

This weekends forecast will be totally dependent on the exact track of Irma. If it stays to our east, we will get breezy winds and some rain, but the bulk of the rain would stay to our east.

Again though, this is all highly dependent on that track. If it comes over land, we would get a lot more rain and wind. If it stays offshore to the east of Florida we would be dry with little to no rain.

So there are still a number of scenarios for our weekend forecast.
