Here's your Tampa area forecast for late Friday into Saturday morning, along with the latest on Hurricane Irma.

It’s been a frustrating week trying to forecast where the center of Irma will go this past week.

The track has continued shifting west the past couple days after initial trends to the east.  Now the storm looks like it could go even farther south into Cuba, which also could change things.

So hold on as this forecast will continue to change and it’s possible we could still see more trends farther west and/or changes in timing also if it slows down too much over Cuba.

For now, our weather will consist of another round of passing showers and storms for Saturday.  They will all move westward toward the gulf with most of them in the gulf by the evening.  Highs will be near 90.

Winds will increase through the day, getting into the 15 to 25 mph, but higher gusts inside the passing storms.

Assuming Irma stays on its predicted track near us, our weather will go downhill Sunday with the worst of the storm passing Sunday night into Monday morning.
