Temperatures will continue to drop through the evening, especially where the wind go light first.

  • Chilly overnight
  • Plenty of sunshine Sunday
  • Highs in the 50s

Chilly air will continue to flow in from the north overnight.

High pressure over the Midwest will keep a breezy northerly wind flow in place over the region through Sunday.  This will continue to push cooler and drier air into Florida tonight and though Sunday.

Skies will stay mostly clear tonight.  Cold air advection will bring some freezing temperatures across the Nature Coast by early Sunday morning. Lows for Tampa will be around 40 with upper 30s inland.

On Sunday ample sunshine is expected, however cool air advection will keep temperatures from rising much during the day with highs only reaching into the mid 50s across the Nature Coast, to upper 50s around Tampa, which will be some 10 to 15 degrees below normal for this time of the year.  It will still be a little breezy, especially near the coast.

Sunday night into Monday high pressure will remain in control with clear skies and cool/dry conditions continuing.

Similar to Saturday night low temperatures Sunday night will again fall to near freezing over portions of the Nature Coast, with lows around 40 in Tampa. With lighter winds there will be a chance of some frost in the coldest locations across the northern Nature Coast prior to sunrise Monday morning.

During Tuesday and Tuesday night a storm system moving east through eastern Great Lakes region and into the northeastern states will pull another cold front south through region on Wednesday. Lack of moisture along and ahead of this front will preclude rain chances with its passage with just a reinforcing shot of cool dry air expected in its wake during Wednesday night and Thursday. Lows on Thursday are likely to be around freezing in Tampa Bay.

Temperatures will rebound by next weekend.
