A woman has died after she entered the path of a moving car on Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
- Brandi Eckelstafer died while walking on State Road 60
- No charges filed yet
At around 8:09 p.m., Brandi Eckelstafer was "walking southbound across the eastbound lanes of" State Road 60 in Hillsborough County and entered the path of April Reyes' 2013 Dodge Dart, according to the FHP in a news release.
The 35-year-old Thonotosassa resident was taken to Brandon Regional Hospital, where she died, according to the FHP.
Reyes, a 33-year-old Tampa resident, is not facing any charges and the FHP stated that this is not an alcohol-related accident.
