A Holiday man has been arrested for murder after allegedly shooting and killing his next door neighbor because of an ongoing dispute.

  • Qiu Feng Ke, 60, planned murder/suicide
  • Ke said dispute with victim had gone on for years
  • Neighbors say they saw no indications Ke capable of violence

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said Edward Tudor, 37, was inside his house when his neighbor, Qiu Feng Ke, 60, came to the door.

According to an arrest report, Ke told investigators he went inside Tudor's house armed with two loaded handguns and two loaded magazines and shot Tudor.

The report said Tudor crawled out into the front yard trying to get away, but Ke followed him and kept shooting.

"It's a very tragic day for his family and we pray for them," said Sheriff Chris Nocco.

The arrest report doesn't say exactly what the dispute was about, but Ke told investigators it had been going on for years.

Anthony Daugherty lives directly across the street from the men and he said he never noticed any problems.

"I never saw any indications, no arguments, no altercations. I never even saw them talking to each other," he said.

He also said Ke was always cordial to him.

"Quiet guy, kind of reclusive, kept to himself. He would garden in his yard all the time," Daugherty said. "Helpful neighbor. He watched out for my house, helped me fix my fence, you know, just that kind of guy."

Ke told deputies he planned to shoot Tudor, along with a woman he thought was in the house, and then hang himself. He said he had gotten his will notarized recently.

According to the report, he said he wanted to "end it" with the murder because if he didn't the dispute would have continued, and Tudor would have "laughed at him".

Ke is being held at the Pasco County Jail.
