Here's your Tampa area weather forecast for late Friday into Saturday morning, along with a detailed look at conditions through the weekend.

  • Frosty morning
  • Warming trend
  • Rain chances next week

It will still be cold into Saturday morning, but not quite as cold as the past couple mornings.

Lows will be in the upper 20s for Citrus and Hernando counties, low 30s for Pasco County, low to mid 30s in Polk County, mid to upper 30s in Manatee County, mid to upper 30s in Pinellas County, and low to mid 30s in Hillsborough County.

The freeze warning remains in effect for Citrus and Hernando counties. However, there will still be areas below freezing in Pasco, Polk, Hillsborough, and northern Pinellas.

The criteria for the freeze warning relates to temperatures dropping below freezing for at least 5 hours.  So although there will be spots below freezing south of that, the duration will not be as long from Pasco County southward.

Skies will go between partly cloudy and mostly clear.

Saturday will start the warming trend as highs get back to around 60 in the afternoon. However, that still means that most of the day will be in the 50s, which is cool by Florida standards. The good news is it will be mostly sunny, which will make for a nice day.

Saturday night will be mostly clear and cool, but not nearly as cold as recently, with lows in the 40s and 30s.

Sunday will be warmer, with highs in the upper 60s under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

Next week will be much warmer, with temperatures getting back to the 70s.
