There will be some areas of sea fog in the Gulf that will drift into some coastal areas, especially from Pasco county north into Hernando and Citrus county this evening and tonight.

  • Skies Sunday start partly cloudy, become mostly sunny
  • Much warmer pattern starts Monday
  • No fronts expected through next weekend

There will be areas of land fog and low clouds again early Sunday morning across the rest of the area.  That will burn off after sunrise.  Morning lows will be in the upper 50s north to mid 60s for Tampa.

On Sunday, skies will go from partly cloudy in the morning to mostly sunny the rest of the day.

The sea breeze will develop again, but will not move as far inland. Temperatures will be held in check in coastal regions, but inland areas will make it to the mid 80s.

There could again be some areas of sea fog over the gulf that drifts toward our beach areas in the late afternoon to evening.

Sunday night will be comfortable for outdoor activities with temperatures dropping through the 70s into the 60s. The lows will be near 60 north to mid 60s around Tampa Bay.

Beginning Monday we start a much warmer pattern as the sea breeze will be stuck along the coast each day. So without it, there will not be any cooling effect. Instead, the winds will be easterly to southeasterly each day allowing the warmest air to pile up on our side of the state.

Expect highs to jump to the mid 80s area-wide Monday afternoon. Skies will still be mostly sunny.

Tuesday will feature a little batch of moisture passing through. So expect a possible shower in the afternoon to early evening. Highs will be in the mid 80s that day.

Wednesday will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Thursday will be similar with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Finally by next weekend,  our sea breeze might return to slowly start knocking our highs down by a couple degrees, at least near the coast.

No fronts are expected through next weekend.
