Pasco County high school to host closing ceremony

A 40-year-old school in Pasco County will host its closing ceremonies this spring.

Ridgewood High School on Orchid Lake Road in New Port Richey opened in 1978 as a junior high school.

It was convered to a high school in 1983.

Beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, the campus will serve as the location for Pasco County’s new technical high school named after Ridgewood’s first principal.

Wendell Krinn Technical High School opens in August 2018.

The closing ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on May 22 at the school. The event is free and open to the public.
