A pedestrian has died after being struck by two vehicles near 4th Street North and 114th Street in St. Petersburg, according to authorities.
The crash happened at about 6:15 a.m., the St. Petersburg Police Department said.
Traffic alert: please avoid the area of 4th St., North and 1 114th Ave. N. Vehicle hit a pedestrian. All southbound lanes are closed for the investigation.

The victim was later identified as Humberto Sella, 86. Police said he was using a walker and trying to cross 4th Street and 112th Avenue North.
Both drivers stopped and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
There is a traffic signal at the intersection, but investigators are trying to determine if the light was red or green at the time.
The accident closed southbound lanes for hours.
