With every ring of the bell at Clearwater High School Wednesday morning, the name of a school shooting victim was read.
The bell rang seventeen times. One of ring of the bell was for 18-year-old Meadow Pollack.
"My heart is broken that I was around when she was born and had to be around when she was taken out of this world," said Caitlin Gumiela. Caitlin and Meadow's fathers are best friends, and the girls considered each other family.

"I don't think any of us who have ever been touched by Meadow will ever be the same because she was just the light of our lives, she was our princess," said the CHS intern pushing for change.
"Focus on school safety, that every student is affected by this because they are students, that our fight needs to be categorized as school safety and not guns."
During a program at their school, CHS students read letters written to Parkland students.
"I pray things get better and may your friends rest in peace," read one CHS student leader.
The choir sang songs to honor Parkland students and families.
Some 2,000 students came together in support of those who lost their lives and those who survived.
"Having the teen-to-teen relationship, having them be able to relate to one another I definitely think that speaks a lot of volume," said CHS senior Keenan Murray.
Students also wore T-shirts with a design they created showing the CHS mascot and the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School mascot hugging.
All CHS students had the chance to write a message on a chain of support that will be sent to Parkland students.
