Crews were able to remove a towed camper Thursday afternoon that was hanging over a barrier wall on Interstate 275.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the camper was traveling northbound on I-275 at mile marker 22 near Tropicana Field at 10:45 a.m. when it lost control and collided with an outside barrier wall.

The Interstate 175 exit ramp was closed during cleanup.

"We basically took a strap, one of our heavy duty tow straps, and secured the camper and the vehicle to the fire truck itself, so it gave it an additional resource not to pull it over," said Lt. Steven Lawrence, deputy fire marshal for St. Pete Fire Rescue.

No injuries were reported, but the driver of the camper was cited for careless driving.
