The Hernando County Sheriff's Office is investigating another bomb threat at Central High School in Brooksville.

  • Central High School receives 2nd bomb threat today
  • 4th threat against school in last three days
  • Law enforcement conducting full sweep of campus

This is the fourth bomb threat made against the school in the last three days, two of which occurred Wednesday, officials said.

The first threat today occurred earlier in the morning, causing the school to be placed on lockdown. Hernando deputies quickly searched the school and determined the school was clear of any threat to safety.

Hernando Schools posted on Facebook a couple hours later, around 10:45 a.m., reporting the school was on lockdown again due to another bomb threat called in to 911.

Law enforcement and school administration began to conduct a full sweep of the campus again.

The sheriff's office said they are working diligently to ensure the safety of all students, teachers, and staff at the school.
