Tampa Police are asking for the public's help in locating a pickup truck reportedly used in a hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist seriously injured.

The incident occurred Sunday, March 18 around 1:38 a.m. at the intersection of W. Cleveland Street and S. Westland Avenue.

Investigators said Dwayne C. Frederick, 48, was riding his bicycle west on Cleveland Street within the bicycle lane when he was struck from behind by a newer model silver full-size pickup truck, possibly a Ford F150.

Frederick sustained serious injuries and was transported to Tampa General Hospital. The truck fled the scene.

Surveillance video captured footage of the accident, but investigators were not able to obtain a tag number. It's currently unknown if the truck sustained any damage from the collision.

Anyone with information about the truck or the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 800-873-TIPS.
