An 18-year-old woman has been arrested after what Clearwater police called a road rage case.

Investigators said the 18-year-old woman was driving on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard near Belcher Road about 11 a.m. Monday when she and another driver started arguing.

The argument made its way into a parking lot, where police said the situation turned violent.

Authorities said she attacked a 72-year-old woman and her 50-year-old daughter and pointed an airsoft gun at the daughter. The gun wasn't loaded, police said.

Both women suffered minor injuries.

The 18-year-old faces charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.
