The judge handling the George Zimmerman case will not impose a gag order on Zimmerman's attorney.

The ruling came down Monday.

In a hearing Friday, the prosecution asked that Zimmerman's lawyer Mark O'Mara not be allowed to talk to the media or post updates online.

O'Mara said the website, Facebook and Twitter accounts he's set up for Zimmerman's defense are important to controlling any misinformation about the case and that he hasn't discussed any specific evidence publicly.

Judge Nelson says there's no pattern of prejudicial commentary that might hurt efforts to get a fair jury in the case.
