Some students at Dr. Phillips High School walked out of class Monday in protest of Trayvon Martin's death.

A total of four students walked out.

The organizer had hoped to get more students involved, but said teachers warned they’d be suspended if the teens left school.

The students said they wanted to make a stand for Martin and were willing to take the consequences.

"They kept telling us that we either come back or they'll suspend us and I told them ‘I'm fine if you want to suspend me,’" said Katelyn, a student who organized the walkout.

Students said seeing a young man their age killed has been difficult to deal with.
